As a fellow cancer sufferer, your articles on Mr Leslie Thompson-Talbot moved me to tears.Without knowing the full background to this case, I cannot comment on clinical decisions.That said, looking at the broader picture throughout the UK, the number of articles in the national press, which describe cancer treatment, is disturbing.Cancer treatment has also been the subject of parliamentary debate.As far as the situation in Devon is concerned, I would like to promote a Cancer Conference at County Hall, Exeter.My proposed list of delegates to this Conference would include representatives from the cancer charities, Devon MPs, hospitals and Devon Primary Care Trust.I would be grateful for the views of your readers in respect of this proposed venture.Alan Applebee20 Honey Ditches Drive Seaton
