AN East Devon Parliament for people with learning disabilities is to hold its second Parliament Day in Honiton today (Friday).
Conservative MP Hugo Swire will be the guest.
The parliament was set up with a grant from The Learning Development Fund and has been facilitated through Devon Link-Up, formerly Honiton-based Ottervale 121.
Workshops led to election campaigns and voting, and now East Devon has some extra 'MPs'.
More than 70 people, including five county councillors, attended the first Parliament Day, held in March.
They speak up for their peers at meetings held by eight discussion groups in the district and take up issues raised to bring about improvements to services.
