Big turnout expected at The Guildhall tonight (Friday) to oppose cuts to day case surgery

A big turnout is expected at a public meeting in Axminster tonight (Friday March 1) called to oppose planned cuts to day case surgery at the town’s hospital.

MP Neil Parish is amongst senior figures who have agreed to attend the gathering in The Guildhall at 7.30pm.

The head of service delivery at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust – which provides the service – and a representative of the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust, which manages the hospital, have also been invited.
