Fund raising under way to meet £1,000 cost of Minster blooms

FUND raising was under way today (Thursday) to finance this year’s flower festival at Axminster Parish Church.

Around £1,000 is needed to pay for the blooms which will be on display in the Minster from May 18-22. The theme of this year’s show is a musical one - “Composers past and present”.

To help meet the costs a coffee morning and sale, organised by Joan Davies, took place at the Church Rooms on Thursday and attracted a steady stream of visitors.
