AMBULANCE personnel notified police after being called to treat a male assault victim in Honiton High Street at the weekend.

AMBULANCE personnel notified police after being called to treat a male assault victim in Honiton High Street at the weekend. It was alleged the man's attackers had run off. When police responded to the call, received at 3am on Saturday, they found the area deserted. PC Ian Atyeo said: "Ambulance personnel treated the man at the scene and, when we arrived, there was nobody there.
