Wednesday June 2 is National u3a Day, and groups across East Devon are gearing up to celebrate this important event, which is the perfect opportunity to promote the benefits of membership.
As one u3a group put it, membership can help its members to: “Go from retired to inspired. Join us and enjoy the freedom that is your third age.”
Although many events on National u3a Day are taking place online, with the latest stage of the Government’s roadmap coming into effect on May 17th u3a members are looking forward to getting out and meeting the public in their local areas.
Honiton u3a is planning an event in the High Street on June 2nd, as well as running a competition to promote both the benefits of u3a membership and local shopping. Look out for details in next week’s Midweek Herald and on posters around the town.
