Honiton will welcome a new beat manager after PC Steve Lee left the neighbourhood beat team to join the Sidmouth-based force.
PC James Mackay, of Devon and Cornwall Police, is set to join the Honiton team as neighbourhood beat manager on Monday, July 13.
He has been a police officer since 2007 and worked all over East Devon, but has spent a considerable part of his career in Exeter working in the response section. Mr Mackay replaces PC Steve Lee, who is taking on the role of the neighbourhood beat manager for the Sidmouth area.
Mr Mackay said: “I’m looking forward to starting my new challenge in July.
“Honiton is a great town and I’m excited about engaging with the local community and working together to reduce crime further.”
