HONITON is to get a caf to help men and women with memory problems.
The Pop In Caf is expected to open at the end of May, with retired mental health nurse Heather Penwarden as its coordinator.
Organisers are calling for volunteers and financial support to get the caf started.
The caf will offer informal, friendly support to residents whose carers, relatives or friends are concerned about the people they deal with showing memory problems. Volunteers will need to attend a one-day course to learn more about their role at the caf, but no specific skills or experience are required.
For more information, call Heather on (01404) 45360 or senior council secretary Tony Simpson on (01404 548228).
