Co-opted councillor elected.

A new member has been co-opted to serve on Honiton Town Council.

Gary Elliot fills an empty seat in St Michael’s ward which was vacated by Cecily Young last September.

He was voted in by councillors after competing in a Dragon’s Den-style interview at last night’s town council meeting.

The other candidates were Dean Barrow and Richard Pinney.
