New councillor needed

Applications are being invited to fill a vacant seat on Honiton Town Council.

The search is on to find a new councillor to serve on Honiton Town Council.

Applications are being invited to fill the vacant seat on the St Paul’s ward following the resignation of Liz Tirard.

The period for the receipt of notice requiring an election to fill the above vacancy has now expired. No such notice was received and therefore an election will not be held.

Honiton Town Council will need to fill the vacancy by co-option.

Send applications to the town clerk by noon on Monday, January 6 2014, and must include a letter explaining their reasons for wanting to become a town councillor and a brief curriculum vitae.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend a meeting of the town council on January 13.

Applicants are respectively requested to include in their letters of application their reasons for wishing to become a town councillor and brief curriculum vitae.
