CHARITY worker David Foster, 32, is the new member of Honiton Town Council.Mr Foster, who stood as an Independent, was co-opted by paper ballot at the council's February meeting last week.He was up against Honiton businessman Duncan Finlayson. The vacancy was created by the untimely death of Councillor Chris Tratt, who was the Mayor of Honiton.Mr Foster has a wife, Karen, and five children.He is a familiar face at the town's Oxfam shop, where he is an enthusiastic volunteer.He told the Herald: "My main interests are the proposed community centre and having a cinema in Honiton."Mr Foster's brother, Anthony, is a former town councillor.
