A GAMING centre, which opened in Honiton town centre just months ago, has closed.

Businessman George Symonds, who runs a successful arcade on Lyme Regis seafront and has an adult gaming centre in Sidmouth, invested in the business, which occupied the former Globe Antiques Centre.

The building is now for let, through Stags, with a price tag of 13,000 per annum, exclusive of all other outgoings.

A former pub, the end terrace property has previously been a base for antique dealers and retailers.

East Devon District Council granted a change of use for the playing of prize machines. Retails sales and catering are also permitted on the premises.

Mr Symonds was unavailable for comment as your Herald went to press yesterday (Tuesday).
