Honiton Evangelical Congregational Church’s new pastor has been welcomed into the community at a packed induction service.

The Reverend Mike Plant was joined by friends and family, as well as special guests, including Tiverton and Honiton MP Neil Parish and Honiton mayor Caroline Kolek, at the ceremony. The Reverend Peter Robinson gave a call to the church, while the Reverend Greg Strain, from St Albans, gave the address to the pastor.

Speaking from 2 Timothy 4, he acknowledged that Mike was an experienced pastor and preacher, but still needed reminding from the Bible as to how to proceed in his new post.

Attendees enjoyed an afternoon tea before the service wound down.
