EAST Devon District Council is holding a second community consultation day to drive forward plans for an outdoor activity trail in honiton Bottom Road, Honiton. The event will take place at the site on Sunday, June 21, from 10am, and everyone is welcome.Play development manager Ishbel Ramsay said: "I am really excited to be able to announce that an experienced team of designers and builders from play specialists Touch Wood Enterprises Ltd will be on site all day to launch the final design ideas. "The designers from Touch Wood have used information that we have already gathered from many local disabled and able bodied young people as well as lots of local residents. "There will be the chance to have a look at the plans for the site as well as further opportunities to give us your feedback and ideas. The Touch Wood team will also be showing us how to build the perfect outdoor bench; everyone will be able to join in and help to create the first piece of equipment for the trail! So do come along between 10am and 3pm to see what is planned and how you can get involved." Through careful design and imaginative planning, EDDC wants to create a trail to include the minimum amount of special equipment allowing all the activity sites to blend in with the natural environment, enabling disabled users and carers to take part in the activities available alongside their non-disabled friends and family members.
