Meet new PCSO Steve Mingo.

There is a new face in town - Honiton’s neighbourhood policing team has welcomed an addition into the ranks.

PCSO Steve Mingo will be becoming a familiar face on the beat in Honiton after starting at the end of last month.

“It is pretty great. Honiton is a very lovely town,” says the 22-year-old, who is the youngest member of the team.

He will be working alongside fellow PCSOs Phil Anning, Sue Rowe, Darren England, Dave Keeler and PCs Gemma Siszcuk and Clive Vickery and Sergeant Tony Shayler.

Steve was born in Exmouth but has lived in Honiton for a number of years.

He says he is looking forward to the challenge ahead and hopes to get involved in projects with the local community in the coming months. Steve has already set up a Twitter account for the neighbourhood policing team - @Honiton_Police.

He added: “If anyone has problems I will be make myself visible in the town, so come and see me.

“The main message is, don’t be afraid to say hello.”
