New school hall to be officially opened

MUSBURY Primary School's new school hall wil be officially opened on Friday (July 11).

MUSBURY Primary School's new school hall wil be officially opened on Friday (July 11).Devon County Council contributed £60,000 towards the cost, with the rest raised by pupils' fundraising efforts and donations from the village.The county council's vice chairman and Axminster town councillor Douglas Hull will open the hall at 2pm.He said: "I am very pleased that, at last, the school has its new hall."The children will not be so cramped now and I would like to congratulate the governors on their successful campaign and all the staff and parents and everyone else who supported it."The school says the new building - an innovative, wave-like design with a living sedum roof - is having a positive impact on teaching and learning, as well as on the general welfare of pupils and staff.
