SCHOOL dinners could soon be prepared on the premises at Honiton Primary School now that Devon County Council aims to provide brand new kitchen facilities at the Clapper Lane site.

SCHOOL dinners could soon be prepared on the premises at Honiton Primary School - now that Devon County Council aims to provide brand new kitchen facilities at the Clapper Lane site.An existing kitchen at the school is not in use and is scheduled for demolition.Honiton Town Council's planning committee last week welcomed news of proposed investment at the school.Councillors heard that school meals are currently provided by Honiton Community College but that Government policy dictates meals should be cooked on school premises where possible by 2009.The new-build project was described as "brilliant" by the mayor, Councillor Vernon Whitlock.
