A new Starbucks store near Axminster has opened today, creating 15 new jobs for the local area.

To celebrate the opening, the team has planned a range of activities and promotions over the store’s launch weekend.

The community is invited to come in and enjoy a free tall-size drink, as well as Teavana and coffee tastings, which are taking place in the store from until Sunday.

The store on the A35 at Shute, operated by Starbucks license partner Euro Garages, will offer Starbucks sustainably sourced 100 per cent Arabica coffee and oven-warmed food, as well as the new cold coffee menu that launched earlier this month.

The store offers seating areas, providing an ideal spot for families, commuters and tourists, as well as free WiFi and a large conference table with power points.

Mo Tayab, brand manager at Starbucks Euro Garages, said: “We are very excited to be opening a new store in Axminster.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone over the summer and providing a comfortable space for residents and tourists to enjoy their favourite drinks.

“With lots of launch activities and offers planned over the weekend, we’re excited to start building our relationships with the local community.”

Jane Benson, senior operations manager at Starbucks UK, added: “Axminster is a fantastic place for Starbucks, and we’re very much looking forward to opening a new store in the area.

“We are delighted to build on our partnership with Euro Garages, who share our commitment to offering our customers first class service and a great cup of coffee.”

The Starbucks store is located at the A35 Shute, Axminster and will be open Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 8pm, Saturday from 7am to 8pm and Sunday from 8am to 8pm.
