THERE will be no free parking in Seaton during the Tour of Britain event.
During their monthly meeting on Monday (July 20), councillors were asked to consider reimbursing East Devon District Council for the income lost by offering free parking on September 18 and 19 at The Underfleet.
Town clerk David Mears said it cost around �420 on Friday and slightly more on Saturday, based on last year's figures.
Cllr Pepita Collins said: "It does sound an awful lot to ask of ratepayers in Seaton." Cllr Graham Jones said the money saved could be used to support the Tourist Information Centre.
