ENFORCEMENT action will not be taken against the former chairman of the district council's development control committee over a hedgebank.Councillor Marcelle Boote and her husband, Councillor Roger Boote, were facing enforcement action over the replanting of a hedge at Oaklands Farm, Monkton. The development control committee agreed that no further action be taken against Mr and Mrs Boote after an enforcement officer's report said the matter had been resolved. It said counciloors had not been happy with replanting after a site inspection in August.Following letters sent by the owners in September and October, and a site inspection earlier this month, the report said: "The planting works required, together with the tree planting, has now been carried out satisfactorily."Members will also note the comments regarding maintenance of the area between the bank and the road."Clearly, the owner has moved the situation along from when the site was inspected and officers conclude that this matter has now been resolved."Councillors agreed with the report and said no further action should be taken.
