EAST Devon District Council says it is not poised to change a newly-introduced traffic flow system in Lace Walk car park.

Town councillors have accused the authority of wasting over 40,000 on the current system and claim it is being changed again - just over a year after the present system was introduced. But a spokesman for the district authority says the total cost of the new system was 3,000.

He said: "Since then, there have been no further complaints from the public, but we have met with the chamber of commerce and Honiton Town Council to review the system. Due to the expense and complexity of any wholesale change, it is unlikely any action will be taken in the foreseeable future.
