'KITTEN cuddling', while an appreciated aspect of work undertaken by Honiton Cats' Protection, is not exactly what charity co-ordinators had in mind when they recently appealed for new volunteers.

'KITTEN cuddling', while an appreciated aspect of work undertaken by Honiton Cats' Protection, is not exactly what charity co-ordinators had in mind when they recently appealed for new volunteers. The charity, which is dedicated to cat welfare in the EX14 postcode area, is desperate to recruit helpers for its re-located fundraising shop in the High Street.Money raised in the shop is vital to provide food, litter, heat and vets' bills to the many cats in the charity's care. Co-ordinator Lizzie Manley said: "Moving the shop to the High Street was made possible due to a legacy and we would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer for a few hours a week."If you can help the shop, call (01404) 45241.
