TRAFFIC congestion and a safety conflict with pedestrians at a town centre junction in Honiton could be dealt with the 'European way'.

TRAFFIC congestion and a safety conflict with pedestrians at a town centre junction in Honiton could be dealt with the 'European way'.Instead of installing traffic lights or a roundabout at the junction of High Street and New Street, the Highways Agency could, instead, come up with a more liberal solution. Neil Blackmore, a landscape architect at East Devon District Council, told a public meeting last week how simple road markings and a reduced speed limit could one day see pedestrians and vehicles living in harmony.
