A NOISY march was held in Axminster to mark Domestic Violence Awareness Week.

Around 30 people took part in the event on Thursday, November 26, which was organised through the East and Mid Devon Community Safety Partnership.

Gerry Moore, community safety officer for the East and Mid Devon Community Safety Partnership, said: "The day went very well. The intention was to raise awareness to the general public about the issues around domestic abuse and how one in four women will be affected by it, and one in six men.

"But also it's to highlight that there's a good support network for people of both sexes and all ages, who are suffering."
