Feniton's Blaise Oldham, 10, and Ellie Chapman, eight, play the roles of Ivor and Emmy in Exeter Northcott's production of A Doll's House, which runs until Saturday 26 September. The children perform once every two nights, working in rotation with two children from Exeter.

The parts they play aren't simply window dressing - they deliver lines and are involved in some quite complex choreographed movement around the stage.

Actor Rupert Holliday Evans, who plays Nils Krogstad in A Doll's House, and has also appeared in C4's Skins and BBC1's Doctor Who, said, "It's been a breath of fresh air working with Ellie and Blaise. Their energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the cause has been awesome. They've gained an insight into the wonderful world of professional theatre."

Both children attend Feniton Church of England Primary School.
