A team of 10 production staff at Royair 2007 Limited have been presented with their NVQ Level 2 certificates after successfully completing the programme in Performing Manufacturing Operations.

The achievement is particularly pleasing for three years ago most of the team were made redundant after the previous business went into administration.

Since the acquisition of the assets from the administrator, by Dutch company Nijburg Industry BV, the renamed Royair 2007 Limited has seen investment in machinery, technology and also staff training, which has enabled the business to not only survive, but also grow in the current turbulent economic conditions.

Director Colin Green said: "I am pleased with the response of the team to retrain and, in doing so, ensure we remain competitive in our market place."

Royair 2007 Limited is an internal factory for specialist air terminal supplier Solid Air Limited and is now producing almost 60 per cent of the UK sales requirement, in addition to exporting products to the Dutch parent company.
