CRIME is down in Axminster this month compared to the same period last year, according to police reports.
CRIME is down in Axminster this month compared to the same period last year, according to police reports.Neighbourhood beat manager PC Darren Herridge said during the monthly council meeting, on June 8, that there had been 31 crimes compared to 37 the year before.He added that there had been a 33 per cent detection rate, which he thanked the team at the station for.There were 11 cases of criminal damage - nine to motor vehicles and two general cases; 10 cases of theft; two incidents of assault; three incidents of public order; one of excess alcohol; one for possession of a Class A drug and two incidents of sexual assault.
