DEMOGRAPHICS could be the lynch pin in Offwell's campaign to save its post office."Local demographics is a relevant factor," said Reverend Brian Green, chairman of Offwell Rural Services Association."I'd be interested to know - and to have a copy - of the demographic survey Post Office Limited undertook, but I don't think they did one."Mr Green, together with Canon Jane Wilson, is keen to reiterate that Offwell Post Office serves a much wider area than the village."A large chunk of Offwell residents, and certainly those in neighbouring parishes, live outside of the three-mile radius to Honiton," he said."The post office serves an area over 20 miles and is the closest to those in Cotleigh, Farway, Northleigh and Wilmington.
