A SEATON guest house has received a prestigious award from the tourist industry, one of only five in the whole of Devon.

A SEATON guest house has received a prestigious award from the tourist industry, one of only five in the whole of Devon.Pebbles Guest House, in Sea Hill, was awarded 'Four Stars with Gold Award' by Enjoy England and Visit Britain, the main tourist rating authorities.Owners Rod and Cath Burt, who bought the property in March 2006, said they were thrilled. Chief executive of Destination Devon, Nicola Poultney, said: "This news is another feather in the cap for Devon's tourism industry and a fantastic achievement for the team at Pebbles Guest House."Devon continues to provide a quality visitor experience and Rod and Cath's labour of love continues to reap rewards for Seaton and Devon. This prestigious award is something that we can all be proud of."The couple opened the guest house in June 2006, and two months later received a rating of Four Stars with Silver Award. Further upgrading of facilities and service have now been rewarded with Gold.
