THE success of a roadshow visit to Honiton by Business Link means outreach clinics are now being arranged to offer more detailed, one-to-one advice to established businesses in the area.More than 38 leads were generated during the roadshow's visit to Lace Walk car park last Wednesday. Those who used the drop-in advice service ranged from people thinking of starting a new business to managers and owners of established firms in the town. Link business adviser Lucie New was on hand to help local managers develop a detailed action plan to address any current shortcomings in areas such as marketing, e-commerce, overhead costs, finance, skills and staffing. The aim was to offer impartial, practical help to firms that are facing new challenges in the current economic climate, as well as businesses keen to explore new market opportunities and those considering the next stage of their development in advance of an economic upturn. The roadshow visited Honiton in partnership with East Devon District Council, The Blackdown Hills Business Association and West Business Information Point.
