Have you always fancied volunteering but not known how to go about it, or even who to volunteer for?

Why not come along to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust charity shop at 124 High Street, Honiton, to find out how you can make a difference, by donating the gift of time.

Philip King, Volunteering Manager for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust explained 'Not everyone is able to give to charity financially, especially in the current climate, but they may have a few hours either on a regular or occasional basis to gift instead.

'We're holding an open afternoon at the shop on Tuesday 14th April from 12 noon to 4.30pm, where anyone interested can come along and meet staff and some of our volunteering family, to find out just how much fun volunteering is.'

He added 'There's a broad range of different tasks that need doing at the shop, from front of house, to behind the scenes. There's something for every age and ability, so please come along on the 14th and find out more. Volunteering is not only a great way to help a local charity, but it's also an opportunity to meet new friends, gain experience, and looks good on your cv perhaps for the future.'

'The charity's volunteers form the backbone of the organisation with over 250 across the county. They play a substantial role in ensuring the funding is there to keep both helicopters airborne. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our current volunteers for their hard work and dedication, and hope to welcome more volunteers to our family in the very near future.'
