A keen gardener will be opening up her garden near Honiton to members of the public to raise money for charity.

Helen Brown, who was a finalist in the prestigious BBC Gardeners World Gardener of Year 2009 competition, is inviting visitors to take a look at the garden at Little Ash Bungalow in Fenny Bridges.

It has been developed over the past 13 years and is bursting with wildlife and insects.

The one and a half acre garden situated just off the A30, three miles west of Honiton, is open from 1.30pm to 5.30pm on Sunday (August 18).

The money raised from the event will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Help the Hospices and Carers Trust.
