NEWS that the recession has reduced bookings for the Tudor Dance Group, which has entertained East Devon residents for 24 years, touched the hearts of staff at Otter Nurseries.Now the dance group is booked to perform at the Ottery St Mary garden centre on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31.Pam Moss, marketing team leader at the nursery, said: "Your article about the drop in bookings for the local-based Tudor Dance Group touched our hearts."We always enjoy hosting local talent at our garden centre."There is so much local talent around East Devon, and we are fortunate enough to be able to give entertainers a superb venue and appreciative audience."The last time the Tudor Dance Group appeared at Otter Nurseries was 12 years ago.The dancers do not charge an appearance fee, but instead ask for a contribution towards mileage.Bookings have fallen to under 10 for 2009.
