Following news that a youngster was running around with what could have been a "fart gas" can, an Ottery Tar Barrel reveller confirmed there was a very strong smell of "bad eggs" in the air.
Off-duty reporter Becca Gliddon said she was standing by the London Inn when there a really terrible smell. "It was really strong. We were not sure what had caused it."
Becca recalled the smell after hearing that Herald photographer Alex Walton saw a youngster running around, randomly spraying gas from a can. He felt it was a can of "fart gas".
However, Alex Walton added with caution: "I am not sure or saying he was the culprit."
