Pupils and staff praised during latest Ofsted inspection.

THE Woodroffe School made the grade after receiving an outstanding for the second time in a row during its latest Ofsted inspection.

The school also received a grade 1 for teaching, which places it in the top four per cent of schools nationally.

Inspectors described the school as highly successful with clear ambitions to develop further.

Teaching was recognised as outstanding and students were seen to be making progress.

The inspectors were also impressed with the students themselves.

Head teacher Dr Richard Steward said: “It recognises both the hard work of Woodroffe’s exceptionally dedicated staff and celebrates the achievements and maturity of its students.

“I was particularly pleased by the inspectors’ recognition of the strong focus on learning in the school, as well as their praise for the exceptional behaviour seen in lessons and around the school.

“Governors, staff and students are all very proud of Woodroffe and it is a pleasure to see the work of the school publicly acknowledged in this way.”
