Oyez! There was plenty to shout about at Seaton on Saturday when the resort staged its fourth annual town criers’ competition.

Bell-wielding contestants in traditional costumes came from far and wide to compete and winner of the Fryday’s trophy – The Seaton Bell – was Clive O’Shaunessy, from Milbrook in Cornwall.

Seaton town crier David Craner said: “I’d like to thank not only those who made the event possible, but also the audience, some of whom stayed for most of the day. It was the best competition by far!”
