Palace trip for Axmouth couple

An Axmouth couple were invited to a party at Buckingham Palace, to thank them for their volunteer work.

An Axmouth couple were invited to a party at Buckingham Palace, to thank them for their volunteer work. George and Hilary Mabon have 50 years of volunteer experience between them, and have performed first aid, nursing and welfare duties throughout East Devon. They are also qualified members of the British Red Cross, and have passed on their skills to local school children, Scouts and Brownies. Mrs Mabon described their visit as "a wonderful experience which will never be forgotten".Despite the wet weather, they enjoyed touring the palace and attending the party, hosted by Prince Charles, Camilla and Princess Alexandria.
