AXMINSTER Young Farmers performed a pantomime in the East Devon competiton.

Their version of Aladdin, written and director by farmer Richard Dare, received positive feedback from the judges and audience.

They did not get through to the next round but club chairman Vicki Thomas said it was a fun night.

She said: "It was a lot of hard work and time to get the performance together, but it was well worth it.

"We had over 20 members involved, ranging from 14 years of age to 50 plus - and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it."

The panto will be performed at Axminster Guildhall on Friday, march 27, at 7.30pm. Tickets are 5 and are available on the door.

There will also be a version of The Weakest Link, involving people in the area. For more information, contact the club secretary, Gemma, on 07891119715.
