Parents and friends joined the children and staff of Offwell Primary School recently to begin a project to completely make-over their garden area. Everyone joined in to begin the task of clearing the existing planted space before some of the dads brought in new timber to form raised beds and an attractive seating area. Once everyone had worked up an appetite, OSCAR, the school's parents and carers association, provided a barbecue to round off the day!The work had been planned by members of staff, working to a design created with input from the children and the expert help of Tony Benger Landscaping. Megan Jones, aged eight, roped in her mum and dad to help and showed them where they needed to dig! She said: "Having a garden of our own is great. We get to plant things, and look after them but there is always a lot of work to do!
