Members of St Andrew’s Church in Feniton took part in a walk to mark Good Friday, collecting six bags of discarded waste in the process.

The group set off from Spar in the village, taking a variety of routes before arriving back at the church.

Songs were sung, which were accompanied by a guitar played by the Reverend Danny Beaven, while prayers were spoken at selected locations along the walk.

This year’s walk was combined with a ‘Clean for the Queen’ event - with members tidying as they walked.

In total, the group collected six bags of discarded waste left by the roadside.

On arrival back at the church, the walkers were treated to hot cross buns and cups of tea or soft drinks.

They then took part in a service of reflection.
