PETER Robinson, the pastor at Honiton Evangelical Congregational Church, revealed some surprising Christmas facts when he addressed the town council last week.
Before leading prayers, he said Britons consume 10 million turkeys, 15 tonnes of sprouts and 175 million mince pies at Christmas. If the mince pies were stacked on top of each other, they would reach a height 600 times higher than Mount Everest.
