Patients failing to turn up for GP appointments

OF the 16,919 appointments made by patients to see a member of staff at Honiton Surgery between April 1 and June 30, 913 were missed.

Patients most failed to turn up to see their GP - 514 appointments.

A further 228 appointments were missed for blood checks and 171 appointments with a nurse did not go ahead.

Surgery managers are reminding patients who can't make an appointment to cancel it by telephone.
