A THRIVING rural business is to stage a taster weekend after introducing gluten-free products to a new hot food menu.

The Pavilion Coffee Shop, at Colour Wheel Plants, Offwell, is to showcase its new gluten-free food at the same time as spotlighting small, local producers.

Samples and tasters will be on offer between 10am to 4pm during the last weekend of November.

Coffee shop owner Lisa Bartrop said: "Now we are doing more hot food and have introduced a new menu, we are being asked for more and more gluten-free dishes.

"We already provide gluten-free cakes and meals, but aim to increase the range."

Lisa was inspired to introduce gluten-free food to her coffee shop after hearing from a friend, who suffers from gluten intolerance, how she found it almost impossible to eat out.

Gluten-free products will also be available to buy from the coffee shop.
