Schools team up to help pre-schoolers

Bug hunts, den making and tree climbing may sound like Tarzan’s hobbies, but a group of Payhembury school children have also decided to take them up.

Payhembury Preschool now uses the Payhembury Primary School Forest School Area to extend their children’s day-to-day learning and development at preschool.

Armed with a pair of wellies, the children explore the forest and enjoy a multi-sensory outdoor experience which enables them to learn about risk-taking in a safe environment.

The children thoroughly enjoy their time in the Wild Area as do Gill and Naomi, the two playleaders.
