PUT on your Easter bonnet on and show it off in Payhembury.The village is hosting the East Devon Easter Bonnet Competition on Saturday (April 11).Councillor Paul Diviani, chairman of East Devon District Council, will be among the judges.Honiton's carnival royalty have also accepted an invitation to attend.Payhembury residents have decided to stage the contest to promote friendship and fun rivalry between the district's towns, villages and groups.The contest starts at noon in the parish hall.There are classes for all age groups and include: most beautiful, most creative, most bizarre and even 'third age'.At 1.30pm, there will be a grand Easter parade, starring Fred Astaire and Judy Garland!The show, which will boast a song and a dance, will take place in the 'small' hall. Draw tickets and refreshments will be available to buy.
