A SEATON pensioner had his car seized for allegedly falling asleep at the wheel and driving with an expired license.

The 82-year-old was stopped by police yesterday (Wednesday, September 16) following calls from concerned residents.

PC Darren Herridge said: "It's not something we take any pleasure in doing. It's awful to restrict someone's mobility but it's the lesser of two evils because the possible alternative if he was to continue to drive would be unthinkable.
