Youngsters at Offwell Primary School were enthralled by a performance put on by a touring theatre group.

Theatre Alibi, a contemporary storytelling company, performed The Boy Who Climbed Into The Moon from the book by David Almond.

The story tells of a lonely boy who feels the sky is heavy and he finds a world where the sky is only an arm’s length away.

Mr Thomas, senior teacher at the Offwell school, said: “The excellent live music was a powerful contributing factor.

“Amazing, captivating puppetry kept the children focused. The actors brought literature to life and we will use this experience to enrich the children’s work.

“The children were enthralled by the story telling, the use of props and the fantastic acting.

“At one poignant moment you could hear a pin drop.”
