A PETROL bomb directed at a house and a case of racially aggravated harassment were among the crimes recorded by police in Seaton last month.Crime is up in the area, with 39 crimes recorded last month compared to 31 for the same period last year.Neighbourhood beat manager PC Roy Hutter did not attend the monthly council meeting, but forwarded the crime figures to the town council.Incidents also included seven cases of actual bodily harm, five of which were reportedly domestic related, two complaints of grievous bodily harm, with two men currently on police bail, and three common assaults.There had been an offensive letter sent in the post and comments made to a Welsh person, which were perceived to be of a racial nature.However, burglaries from dwellings were significantly down on previous months.
