The remaining student, Philip Retter, eventually made it through the snow and ice - thanks to local businessman Richard Harris, who picked him up in his own 4 x 4 vehicle.
Philip sat an AS exam in mathematics.
Three members of college staff spent nearly all day on Sunday ringing students to say the exams were still on.
