Axminster club holds a coffee morning and sale at the Church Rooms

Axminster Phoenix Ladies Club held a sale and coffee morning at the Church Rooms today (Thursday), to help support local charities.

Each year the group donates around £300 to worthy causes. The most recent to benefit were Charity Togs and the Axe Valley and West Dorset Ring and Ride Service.

This year members have yet to vote on which organisations they plan to support but fundraising is already under way.

The club, which enjoys talks and outings, meets on the second Wednesday of the month at the town’s United Reform Church hall at 2.30pm. Visitors are welcome to go along.
